Bawso is the lead organisation in Wales providing practical and emotional support to black minority ethnic (BME) and migrant victims of domestic abuse, sexual violence, human trafficking, Female Genital Mutilation and forced marriage.
This role operates within the Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence (VAWDASV) national framework and plays a key part in supporting migrant women and their children who are experiencing domestic abuse.
This role focuses on working closely with communities to raise awareness of Bawso’s services, particularly for migrant women experiencing domestic abuse, forced marriage, honour-based violence, and female genital mutilation.
You will provide practical, emotional, and advocacy support to women and their children, especially those facing destitution due to their immigration status, including housing and financial challenges. The role involves working in partnership with other agencies to ensure holistic support, as well as contributing to effective service delivery alongside the Locality Manager and Head of National Services.
Flexibility to travel between Swansea, Cardiff, and Newport is required.
