The Tree Care Manager's role is to maximize profitability for the Bawden Group by maintaining high arboricultural standards and supporting overall business management. The Tree Care Manager supports this through:

  • Supervision to ensure work is completed within budget and on time.
  • Identifying sales opportunities, marketing, and maintaining client databases.
  • Translating specifications, drawings, and estimates into completed works.
  • Preparing tenders, costings, and pricing for new projects.
  • Supporting arboricultural staff daily.
  • Organizing and overseeing new and remedial works.
  • Promoting health and safety procedures.
  • Promoting quality assurance systems.
  • Providing arboricultural advice to clients.
  • Performing other duties to support services.
  • Developing relationships with clients and suppliers.

Reports to: Directors of the Bawden Group.

Leadership: The Manager must build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and directors, and guide staff on arboricultural issues and safe equipment use.

Customer Focus: Deliver proactive, quality service to all customers, ensuring queries are resolved satisfactorily and quality standards are met. Monitor compliance, conduct audits, and produce reports on quality.

Sales and Management: Support sales goals, monitor performance, and set pricing strategies. Promote the group's tree surgery services.

Personnel Management: Assist in staff recruitment, support team development, address performance issues, and support disciplinary procedures.

Operations Management: Implement operational policies, manage staff and subcontractors, ensure equipment safety, and ensure legal compliance. Lead workflow management and team performance evaluations.

Health and Safety: Enforce safety standards, conduct risk assessments, develop contingency plans, and ensure compliance with legislation.

Training: Participate in and recommend training initiatives, attend courses, and develop personal skills to enhance industry knowledge.
