Bavarian Nordic, a global vaccine manufacturer headquartered in Denmark, made a highly successful entry into the UK market in January 2025. As a new key player in the travel vaccine sector, Bavarian Nordic rapidly established itself in the UK by introducing its renowned legacy vaccine portfolio to hundreds of customers across the country. This achievement positioned our company as a trusted partner for retail pharmacists, travel health specialists, private GPs, and NHS practitioners providing private vaccinations.
In addition to the legacy brands, Bavarian Nordic marked a significant milestone with the successful introduction of a brandânew chikungunya vaccine. This innovative product launch not only expanded BN's travel vaccine offering but also set the stage for longâterm growth and leadership in the UK market. On the global stage, Bavarian Nordic continues to play a crucial role in public health, notably through the manufacture and distribution of its Mpox vaccine to address outbreaks in Africa.
We are seeking a Key Account Manager to strengthen even further our Commercial team in the UK.
About The Role
The Key Account Manager (KAM) is instrumental in driving vaccine sales by developing and executing strategic account plans, identifying growth opportunities, and building strong relationships with key accounts such as pharmacies and travel clinics. A significant portion of our key accounts are in the London area; hence your location should be in or within a reasonable distance of the Capital / M25. You will work crossâfunctionally, collaborating closely with members of the BNUK Commercial team, the Marketing team, and the Head of Medical Affairs. You will report to the UK Country Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Sales Growth: Own sales performance and activity targets across key accounts, executing agreed product and account strategies.
- Build Strategic Partnerships: Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to maximise engagement, satisfaction, and longâterm value.
- Deliver Market & Commercial Insight: Understand the healthcare environment, market access landscape, and key stakeholders to identify growth opportunities.
- Account & Commercial Planning: Analyse sales data to inform decisionâmaking and develop effective tactical account plans.
- Collaborate & Represent the Business: Work crossâfunctionally to support account objectives and reinforce the company's reputation as a trusted vaccine provider in the UK.

- Minimum 5 years' experience in vaccine sales, preferably with exposure to pharmacists, retail pharmacy, and private medical providers.
- Strong understanding of account management principles, with the ability to think strategically, analyse performance, and deliver effective commercial plans.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and crossâfunctionally, demonstrating excellent communication skills and strong business acumen.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English, strong IT capability (Microsoft Office, Veeva CRM), and adaptability to new systems and processes; B2B selling and commercial negotiation experience is a plus.
- ABPI qualification.
