The training manager will be responsible for the development, planning and execution of global internal training, measuring the impact of education and reporting metrics accordingly. Developing and empowering regional field trainers (seeDS) network, supporting their development to effectively deliver local education to an established high standard.
MAIN ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITY AREA
- Design, develop and deliver technical training programs for end-users, tenured employees, newly hired employees, partners and distributors:
- Self-study guide and e-learning module
- Train-the-trainer supporting materials
- Classroom materials
- Formal certification process
- Evaluate effectiveness of programs
- Management, training, coaching and development of regional training network (seeDS), providing proactive feedback and ongoing assessment.
- Apply adult-learning techniques to improve the overall effectiveness of training delivery.
- Create and maintain training materials, including manuals, presentations, and e-learning modules.
- Assess technical training needs of the sales team and measure competency through feedback, revalidation skills testing and performance metrics; adjust programmes as necessary to meet evolving business requirements.
- Coordination of standardised onboarding training for new team members across the regions.
- Be the leader for all technical product training needs and programs primarily for Sales Reps, Distributors and Partners.
- Determine future course offerings to improve the technical knowledge of employees and to satisfy customer demand for advanced knowledge.
- Train trade show participants so that they are knowledgeable on all products.
COMPETENCIES
- 5+ years of ophthalmic experience, good technical knowledge with the ability to break down and simplify complex activities.
- Training experiences a positive, with an understanding of adult learning principles.
- Ability to motivate and influence peers.
- Significant experience in the medical device industry (Sales and/or Marketing).
- Experience within a multinational organization / multi-cultural experience.
