Reporting To: Head of VM/Trading Director

Job Type: Fixed-term contract (6-9 months), with the possibility of a permanent role

Location: Central London (London flagship concession), with travel across our London sites and occasional visits elsewhere in the UK

Working Hours: 38.75 hours per week, flexible to store trading patterns

Holidays: 21 days per annum

We’re excited to welcome a new addition to our retail team. In this role, you’ll own the day-to-day running of our key central London locations, including our London flagship concession. You’ll make sure our spaces look spectacular, deliver an exceptional customer experience, maximise sell-through and grow sales per square foot. Working closely with our Merchandising and VM teams, you’ll be our eyes and ears on the shop floor - and your insight into store performance will be central to our weekly trade meetings.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead the daily management of our in-store concessions, including our London flagship.
• Drive sales for the Baukjen concession - analysing daily and weekly sales data to spot trends, build actionable sales plans and convert footfall to exceed revenue targets.
• Ensure VM standards are executed and maintained to the highest level, keeping product commerciality fresh and current.
• Oversee stock management, reporting on stock levels and operations across key sites in the estate.
• Deliver engaging training to John Lewis staff, bringing our brand values and expectations to life.
• Build strong, supportive relationships with store teams to ensure brand guidelines are implemented accurately and on time.
• Gather store feedback and insight, reporting back to Head Office to inform trading decisions.
• Support the VM Manager in setting up seasonal brand guidelines in the flagship store.
• Support store visits across our wider London portfolio in line with business needs.
• Partner with the VM Manager on new store openings.
• Contribute to ad hoc projects for Head Office.

What we’re looking for:

• Previous retail experience is essential; VM experience is desirable but not required.
• A natural salesperson with a proven track record of driving and achieving sales targets.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• A team player who thrives in a small team with a big personality.
• A sharp eye for detail, with the ability to multi-task.
• Strong organisational, prioritisation and time-management skills.
• Highly self-motivated, with the initiative to take ownership.
• Willing to travel across our London sites, with occasional visits to other parts of the UK.
