About Baukjen: Strong, modern style for women leading busy lives, made with purpose. Designed in London, responsibly made in Europe, one of the world's leading B Corp fashion brands. Our ambition is simple: to make Baukjen one of the most influential contemporary womenswear brands in the world, seen, talked about and worn.

The Role: Broader than a traditional press role: you build genuine relationships with the people and brands who shape taste today, from editors, stylists and journalists to Substack writers, podcasters and creators, and make sure Baukjen shows up where women discover what to wear next. Your mission: make Baukjen impossible to miss. Mentioned in the right places, by the right people, for the right reasons.

You own taste and selection across the whole influence ecosystem, outside and in: choosing the people and places Baukjen is seen with and working with our own teams so our key fashion stories travel. Hands-on, with no direct reports, you draw on support from across the business and set direction through relationships, not headcount.

What You'll Own:

  • Brand reputation & narrative: You shape how Baukjen is perceived across fashion, media and culture: perception, not just press coverage. You set the plan for what Baukjen should be known for, and where we should be seen, month by month.
  • The creative trio: stories that travel: You work closely with our Design Director and Art Director on each month's key fashion stories, making sure they're talked about, by the fashion ecosystem outside and through our own marketing channels inside.
  • Fashion influence: carefully chosen: You personally build and hold relationships across the ecosystem: editors, stylists, journalists, creators, Substack writers, podcasters, female founders, insiders and cultural tastemakers. You know which voices are influential and relevant, and where conversations are heading next.
  • Put Baukjen on the right women: You put Baukjen on women whose endorsement carries genuine credibility: architects, lawyers, entrepreneurs, authors, TV presenters, women leading busy lives. At its heart, the Baukjen Women programme: ten to twelve women you find and cultivate for the long term. Customer Services does the logistics, you own the relationship. Alongside it, selective celebrity gifting: the right name, at the right moment.
  • The fundamentals, done properly: You keep the groundwork immaculate: lookbooks and press releases that get read, strong relationships with fashion journalists in print and digital, regular stylist meetings, seasonal previews that put each collection in front of press and stylists ahead of launch, and samples in the right hands at the right time. It earns everything else.
  • Partnerships: You create brand collaborations that suit Baukjen and put us in the right conversations, across wine, travel, art, music and the wider lifestyle world: complementary brands, hotels, cultural institutions, communities of like-minded women. You curate the on-brand affiliate roster, deciding who fits.
  • Retail partners: You work with our retail partners (including John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom) and their PR teams on co-marketing: in-store moments, joint editorial and shopping events.
  • The founders: You build the founders' public presence. For Baukjen: the rooms that matter, the content she fronts with brands she genuinely loves (travel, wine, food, beauty), and her dinners at home every couple of months, bringing together women who'd love to know each other. For Geoff, our CEO: the business press and impact conversations.
  • International: Your focus is primarily the UK but you will support our international activities with local team members.

Who You Are: You may come from PR, communications or somewhere less traditional; what matters is the address book, the attitude and the appetite. You arrive with a proven track record of getting brands seen and talked about, a deep network of editors, stylists, journalists, creators and cultural tastemakers, and genuine excitement for what Baukjen could become.

  • Fluent in fashion: You live in it: you know what's coming next season and who's shaping it, and you spot the truly influential, every time.
  • Energised by people: You love people and brands; you'd rather be at the dinner than behind the deck: at the openings and previews, building relationships wherever you go.
  • You make things happen: Opening doors personally, orchestrating freelancers, agencies and creators. Leverage is the job.
  • Clear: You write beautifully and articulate exactly what you want: representing Baukjen externally and working with our heads of departments so our news travels through our own channels too.
  • Excited by the challenge: Making Baukjen one of the most influential contemporary womenswear brands.

The Details: Permanent, office based in NW1 with extensive face-to-face meetings. Hours 8:45am to 5:30pm, with flexi-time schemes based around core working hours. Salary dependent on experience. You must be eligible to work in the UK.
