Data Centre Cabling Engineer required for a long-term project based in Newport. We are seeking experienced Data Cabling Engineers with previous data centre, critical infrastructure, or large-scale commercial installation experience. The role will involve the installation, termination and testing of structured cabling systems within a live and fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- Installation of Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6a cabling
- Fibre optic installation, termination and testing
- Installing containment including basket, tray and trunking
- Labelling and documenting cabling infrastructure
- Testing and fault-finding copper and fibre cabling
- Working from drawings and site plans
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety
Requirements:
- ECS/CSCS Card
- Proven structured cabling experience
- Previous data centre or critical environment experience preferred
- Fibre termination and testing experience advantageous
- IPAF beneficial but not essential
Location: Newport
Duration: Long-term contract
