Data Centre Cabling Engineer required for a long-term project based in Newport. We are seeking experienced Data Cabling Engineers with previous data centre, critical infrastructure, or large-scale commercial installation experience. The role will involve the installation, termination and testing of structured cabling systems within a live and fast-paced environment.

Duties:

  • Installation of Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6a cabling
  • Fibre optic installation, termination and testing
  • Installing containment including basket, tray and trunking
  • Labelling and documenting cabling infrastructure
  • Testing and fault-finding copper and fibre cabling
  • Working from drawings and site plans
  • Maintaining high standards of health and safety

Requirements:

  • ECS/CSCS Card
  • Proven structured cabling experience
  • Previous data centre or critical environment experience preferred
  • Fibre termination and testing experience advantageous
  • IPAF beneficial but not essential

Location: Newport

Duration: Long-term contract
