Data Cabling Engineer Portsmouth
Location: Portsmouth working at sites across the UK
Job Type: Ongoing contract
Van and fuel card provided
Bauhaus Recruitment is looking for an experienced Data Cabling Engineer based in or around Portsmouth for an ongoing contract.
You will travel to different customer sites across the country. A company van and fuel card will be provided, so applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and be comfortable travelling and staying away when required.
Duties will include:
- Installing Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6a cabling
- Cable pulling, dressing and containment
- Terminating data outlets and patch panels
- Testing, labelling and fault-finding
- Cabinet installations and tidy presentation
- Working professionally on live customer sites
- Supporting with general project duties
Requirements:
- Previous data cabling experience
- Full UK driving licence
- CSCS or ECS card preferred
- Own hand tools and basic PPE
- Reliable, presentable and comfortable working with customers
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK
- Flexibility to stay away from home when required
