Due to internal expansion we are looking for two Network Engineers to join our Infrastructure Services Team in Manchester, Peterborough or London. We are looking for two experienced Network Engineers to monitor, diagnose, and report issues within Bauer’s networks and improve/evolve for the future.
Our Team: The Network Team provides expertise to design & implement network related projects and support day-to-day operational activities. The team has a friendly family atmosphere full of people who are fun to work with and who will always dive in to help each other when needed. Whether there is a major incident to resolve, decisions to be made or knowledge to be shared, everyone has a voice, and their input is always encouraged.
What you will be doing:
- Ensure the availability of infrastructure and back-office related services
- Problem diagnosis, troubleshooting, escalation and notification for all networking related products/hardware
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in complex systems and drive performance optimisations
- Produce procedural documentation for use by IT and customers
- Handle escalated customer/business issues at the appropriate level
- Assist in solving difficult customer/business and technical issues
- Liaison with other analysts or team members to share and develop ideas, also co-ordinate input to projects
What we are looking for:
- Excellent knowledge of Cisco hardware including Switches, Firewalls and Routers, including Catalyst, Nexus, ISR, ASR, ASA. (Non-Cisco skills will be considered).
- Excellent knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls
- Highly experienced working with Cisco IOS, VLANs, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP and comfortable working on resilient systems in high-availability environments
- Experience with Meraki or similar wireless systems
- Experience with WAN technologies including point-to-point links and MPLS
- Strong interpersonal and consultative skills
- Experience in a multi-site, similar sized multiple lines of business company
