You'll be joining the Data & Decision Sciences (DDS) team at the heart of Bauer Media Audio. We partner with teams across Digital Media, Revenue Management, Marketing and Consumer Promotions to turn data into actionable insights that drive audience growth, commercial performance and better decision-making. Working across nine European markets, we're building a modern data capability that combines analytics, experimentation and machine learning to create real business impact.
The Difference You Will Make
As a Senior Data Scientist, you'll help shape how Bauer uses data to solve business challenges, improve audience experiences and unlock new opportunities for growth. This role offers the chance to work on high-impact initiatives, from predictive modelling and experimentation through to deploying solutions that deliver measurable value across the business.
Your Role
You'll lead and contribute to end-to-end data science projects, partnering with stakeholders across the business to design, build, deploy, and maintain data-driven solutions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Building predictive models to improve audience engagement, retention, forecasting, and commercial performance
- Designing and embedding experimentation frameworks, including A/B testing and causal inference approaches
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities where data science can deliver measurable business value
- Championing practical, scalable solutions using a blend of custom, open-source, and off-the-shelf technologies
- Supporting the deployment and operationalisation of models alongside engineering teams
- Mentoring junior team members and contributing to a culture of learning and continuous improvement
- Promoting high-quality coding standards, documentation, peer review, and best practices
- Evaluating emerging tools, technologies, and methodologies to help evolve our data science capabilities
The Skills You Will Bring
- Strong commercial experience in a Data Science role
- Advanced Python and SQL skills
- Experience building and deploying machine learning models
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery or Redshift
- Familiarity with dbt and modern analytics workflows
- A pragmatic, business-focused approach to problem solving
Nice to have:
- Experience in Digital Media, Revenue Management, Gaming or Consumer Promotions
- Experience with personalisation, segmentation or marketing technology platforms
- Knowledge of tools such as Tableau, Braze, Rudderstack or Adswizz
