The Main Focus of the Role:
As Assistant Producer, you\’ll be working across a range of shows and dayparts, helping to shape and deliver compelling radio and digital content. You’ll be a creative force behind the scenes, supporting both live and pre-recorded programming.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering live studio production support
- Managing and communicating with presenters and guests
- Producing, editing and publishing radio and podcast content
- Generating ideas and creating content for both broadcast and social platforms
- Supporting commercial campaigns, competitions, and promotions
- Collaborating with programming, music, social, video and digital teams to enhance audience engagement
- Assisting with event production and outside broadcasts
- Creating and scheduling audio using tools like Zetta and Selector
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in a fast-paced radio environment
- Excellent audio editing and production skills
- Awareness of Ofcom regulations
- Organised and detail-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude
- Able to work calmly under pressure and respond to live situations
- Familiarity with broadcast and scheduling systems (Zetta, Selector preferred)
- Strong understanding of content that resonates with a 35+ year old audience
- Flexibility in working hours, including some weekends or evenings when needed
