About the role

The Construction Stock Co-ordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, supporting day to day inventory operations and ensuring that our systems always reflect the reality in the warehouse. The role suits someone who is highly organised, comfortable working with complex systems and enjoys digging into the detail to understand how and why things happen. You’ll work closely with Operations, Finance and Procurement teams to make sure stock is in the right place, in the right quantity, at the right time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stock Control & Data Accuracy
    • Maintain accurate stock levels across our systems (e.g., ERP/WMS/stock management tools).
    • Process stock movements including receipts, transfers, adjustments and write-offs.
    • Regularly reconcile system records with physical counts and investigate discrepancies.
    • Prepare and support cycle counts and full stocktakes, including follow-up actions.
  • Administration & Documentation
    • Ensure all stock documentation (delivery notes, GRNs, pick lists, returns forms) is complete, accurate and properly filed.
    • Ensure the integrity of our product records is maintained in D365.
    • Generate routine stock reports (e.g., slow-moving items, stock valuation, stock integrity) for internal stakeholders.
  • Systems & Process Support
    • Confidently navigate multiple systems and databases to retrieve, check and update stock information.
    • Support the implementation or change of stock-related processes and system improvements.
    • Act as a point of contact for stock queries from internal teams, resolving issues quickly or escalating where necessary.
  • Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
    • Proactively investigate anomalies, trends and recurring issues in stock data.
    • Identify process gaps or inefficiencies and suggest practical improvements.
    • Work with colleagues to standardise and document best practice in stock administration.
  • Collaboration & Communication
    • Liaise with Procurement, Finance and Construction teams to ensure smooth stock flow.
    • Communicate clearly about stock issues, risks and deadlines so that other teams can plan effectively.
    • Build strong working relationships and provide support and training on stock processes where needed.

What we’re looking for…

  • Strong administration skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets and databases.
  • Experience using stock, ERP or warehouse management systems (or clear aptitude to learn complex systems quickly).
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Previous experience in a stock, inventory, logistics or operations role is preferred.
  • Intermediate Excel skills (e.g., filters, lookups, pivot tables).
  • Experience participating in or coordinating stocktakes and reconciliations would be beneficial.
