As our new SystemsAccountantyouwillbe responsible forsupporting,maintainingand improvingMicrosoft D365 and related systems,toensuretheyoperateeffectivelyandefficiently. The role acts as a key link between Finance,our D365 Tech teamand wider business users, helping to optimise processes, improve reporting, support system upgrades, and ensure high-quality financial data.

Key Responsibilities

Process Improvement

  • Identifyopportunities to improve finance processes through automation, systemenhancementsand better use of existing tools.
  • Document system processes,controlsand procedures clearly and accurately.

Finance Systems Management

  • Work with our D365 technical team to ensure the core finance system isoperatingas per business requirements.
  • Support system upgrades, patches,testingand implementation of new functionality.
  • Ensure financial systems areoperatingin line with internal controls, auditrequirementsand data governance standards.

Business Support & Training

  • Act as a key point of contact for finance system users, providing support and guidance.
  • Deliver training to new and existing users on finance systems and processes.
  • Translate business requirements into system solutions, working closely with Financeand the D365 technical team

Projects

  • Support finance transformation projects, systemimplementationsand integration work.
  • Participate in testing, including user acceptance testing, regressiontestingand issue tracking.
  • Liaise with software providers, consultants andD365technical teams whererequired

Whatwe’relooking for…

  • Part-qualified or qualified accountant, e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with finance systems in a medium or large organisation.
  • Strong understanding of core finance processes, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reporting and month-end close.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance colleagues.
  • Experience supporting system changes,testingor process improvements.
