About Us
Bauer Media Outdoor UK is one of the leading Out of Home media owners, with more than 33,000 advertising sites in our portfolio. Our talented team of over 650 people work in 14 locations across the country, creating and delivering some of the most memorable advertising campaigns in the UK.
A few years ago, we brought the construction of our advertising sites in house. Since then, the team have been extremely successful in delivering hundreds of site builds, including our newest digital units, billboards and large Storm installations. We’re excited to be working on some interesting projects this year, including bringing the ICP inhouse, so are now looking for a Jointer to join our construction team in St Helens.
About the role
As a BMO Jointer, you must be capable of ensuring all electrical work for our advertising infrastructure in the Country wide area is carried out to health and safety standards, within the necessary timescales. This role will involve travelling to sites (roadsides and public areas) in the North West, plus occasional travel further afield and some night working dependent upon business needs - sufficient notice will be given with lodgings and reasonable overnight expenses provided. You’ll receive an attractive salary of £40,000, annual bonus, paid annual leave 25 days plus bank holidays, opportunities for flexible working, training and development and fully expensed tools and PPE. You’ll be required to commute to and from the St Helens depot independently and at times you may be required to work a night shift which will be paid at a premium rate.
Tasks include:
- Completing joints up to LV Voltage
- Live working on LV Networks
- Installing DNO SPEC cable and ducting underground
- Installation of electrical feeder pillars and cutout.
What we’re looking for…
- Current UK Driving Licence holder or equivalent.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weathers
- Flexible attitude – be open to on call duties and overtime
- Level 3 Qualification in Electrical Installation
- SHEA Power
- First Aid at work and Power Add on.
- EUIAS Level 2 Award for Cable Jointer’s Attendant
- EUSR’s LV, LV1 and LV
- 2 Years Jointing Experience at LV (minimum)
- NRSWA Accredited (desired)
- Working knowledge of HSG 47
- Working Knowledge of COSHH (Resin).
