We’re looking for a talented PLM Mechanical Engineer to join our forward thinking and dynamic European Product Development team in London. This team is responsible for delivering a centrally developed and centrally sourced, sustainable Street Furniture, Display and Smart product portfolio, while assisting countries with product and tender strategy.

About the role: This is a 6 month FTC role, you'll be involved in supporting key engineering activities to help migrate the live product data to a new PLM system, including the creation of a product Configurator. Alongside supporting with key tenders and other projects in the team.

Immediate Impact Required: This is a 6‑month FTC, so we’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running, quickly understand a new environment, and start adding value from day one. You’ll thrive in a fast‑paced setting, be highly self‑motivated, and confident working independently while adapting quickly to new systems, processes, and ways of working.

What you’ll be doing:

  • PTC CREO CAD product data migration to Windchill PLM system, including:
    • Import Bulk Parts/Assemblies/Library components/drawings into Workspace
    • Run Creo Parameter/Attributes Update Tool
    • Parameters/Attributes definition
    • Perform manual check in and data cleansing in CREO if check in fails due to typical issues; regeneration failures, broken references, ghost references, etc.
    • Categorise Data issues and document the process to resolve it
    • Update Microsoft Project Plan to reflect and report progress
  • Support the development and standardisation of product structures, assemblies and metadata to enable scalable options, variants and product configurator capability.
  • Review and rationalise legacy CAD structures, identifying opportunities for component reuse, modularisation and standardisation.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of engineering BOMs (eBOMs) and product structures within Windchill.
  • Assist in defining and implementing product classification, attribute and configuration management standards.

What we’re looking for:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar, covering structural, mechanics, materials, design.
  • 2 years’ experience in mechanical engineering, product design, evaluation or specification.
  • Good knowledge and experience of PTC CREO CAD software and CAD management techniques.
  • Familiar with PLM systems (preferable Windchill).
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools for the generation of collateral materials.
  • Good organisational skills and understanding of project management methodology.
  • Understanding of product structure management, engineering BOMs (eBOMs) and assembly hierarchy design.
  • Knowledge of modular product design and component reuse strategies.
  • Ability to analyse complex product portfolios and structure engineering data to support configurable products, options, variants and future digital engineering processes.
