We\’re famous in the market for partnering on brand initiatives and running our own events which are celebratory, insightful and inspiring. Our biggest customer engagement campaign is the Outdoor Media Awards (OMAs), the industries renowned annual OOH awards event, run in partnership with Campaign magazine.
We are looking for someone to join the team on a maternity cover for 12 months in the first instance. You will nurture and grow the existing foundations already in place, maintain our profile and to ensure our events and brand partnerships remain market leading. This is a role for someone to help push their potential even further, reaching more of the right audiences to get our customers and stakeholders excited about both Out of Home and Bauer Media Outdoor; as well as identifying other opportunities to reach our customers through events and brand engagement.
The role requires someone with prior experience of managing both large scale and more intimate events (both in-person and online) to make sure the customer experience is as seamless as possible. Absolute must haves are meticulous event planning and delivery as well as being able to create and execute the supporting marketing campaign for driving sign-ups and delivering against the event KPIs.
Additional scope of the role includes being part of the team shaping our brand positioning on our newly developed Bauer Media Outdoor website, support on our brand partnerships with our commercial and portfolio partners and working with the wider marketing team to bring creativity, marketing expertise and energy to a packed marketing calendar.
What You\’ll Be Doing…
Our marketing team are at the heart of bringing our brand architecture to life – our mission and purpose – across all our marketing channels in exciting and creative ways to inspire new and existing customers to choose Bauer Media Outdoor and Out of Home.
In line with commercial and brand priorities, this means you are responsible for devising, managing and delivering a program of campaigns and events that support and upholds our brand and values, setting relevant KPI\’s to ensure we\’re engaging the right customers with the right content. Working alongside the current Brand & Event manager, you will jointly be responsible for delivering
Core role outline:
- Awards programme – OMA\’s are our world class industry awards that promote the best of the best in OOH advertising. Next year we will be hitting a major milestone of 20 years which will be key to the awards promotion. This role is co-responsible for the running and organisation of the full awards cycle, from creative concept and driving awards entries, to the judging process and event fulfilment
- Thought-leadership events – lead and deliver in-person events (our own and with partners) and webinars that amplify brand messaging—from curating panels to driving attendance
- Up-to-date knowledge of event production – in-person, virtual, hybrid – stay on top of cutting-edge technique / knowledge / trends in the event space
- Project management – collaboration with internal departments (senior stakeholders, sub-marketing teams), and external agencies & contractors to streamline the delivery and success of campaigns and projects
- Digital Marketing & CRM – responsible for creation of brand led cross channel content, maximising its reach, and full analytics & learnings on all projects.
- Creativity & Content – ability to write convincing and engaging copy across digital platforms / website / email / social to elevate sponsorships and partnerships, and drive successful marketing campaigns, with a focus on owning the brand and events section of the Bauer Media Outdoor website
- Creating and owning an events and brand partnerships calendar and strategy – managing and maintaining existing events and identifying new opportunities for customer engagement through events or brand engagement opportunities, in line with business objectives
- Organisation & Communication – working closely with Head of Marcomms, ensuring all relevant stakeholders are informed of the events pipeline and relevant speaker opportunities
- Budget tracking – Take ownership of budgetary requirements associated with events and campaigns and strive to keep them on or below budget to drive effective, efficient marketing content

- Confident to own the event strategy – planning, execution and reporting

- Both brilliant communication and organisational skills – a natural at keeping everything and everyone together
- Managing events on time and on budget
- Setting core KPIs in conjunction with wider stakeholders
- Software skills: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams Live (or other webinar platform experience)
Highly desirable skills and experience:
- Creative marketing campaign ideation, creation and execution
- Digital marketing experience
- Experience in using CRM software and marketing automation – Salesforce, Hubspot, GoToWebinar – or the attitude and willingness to learn
- Brand partnership and collaboration experience
- Strong copywriting
