The predicted salary is between 60000 - 75000 £ per year.
You’ll be joining our Broadcast, Commercial & Media Technology team, part of Bauer’s Audio, Technology & AI function – a group at the heart of how our content reaches millions of listeners every day. This is a collaborative, low-politics environment where people are trusted to get on with what they do best. The team is made up of specialists across video, media platforms, integration and support, working together to deliver reliable, scalable technology across multiple markets. It’s a team that values ownership, curiosity and problem-solving, with a strong focus on delivering outcomes rather than ticking boxes.
This is a newly shaped role, giving you the opportunity to build and lead a Media Operations function at an exciting point in Bauer’s growth. You’ll play a critical role in bringing structure to an evolving environment – ensuring our media platforms run reliably, scale effectively, and support our teams across multiple countries. What makes this role different is the level of autonomy. You won’t be stepping into a fully defined setup – you’ll have the space to shape how this function operates, how the team evolves and how success is measured.
You’ll lead the operational delivery of Bauer’s media platforms, ensuring high performance across systems, teams and markets:
- Leading and developing a small, specialist Media Operations team
- Defining and implementing operating models, SLAs and support frameworks
- Owning the performance and reliability of media platforms and services
- Driving operational excellence across workflows
- Partnering with Product and Engineering teams
- Ensuring delivery across multiple international markets
- Driving automation and efficiency improvements
The Skills you will bring:
- Experience in media, broadcasting, telco or similar environment
- Experience in technology operations or service delivery
- Understanding of platform/service delivery in critical environments
- Ability to work across technical and business stakeholders
- Leadership or team mentoring experience
Nice to have:
- Experience working across multiple countries
- Exposure to media workflows or integration platforms
Working Pattern / Location: Hybrid working (1-2 days a week in the office). UK-based – London preferred, Manchester also considered.
