As Grazia's Acting Head of Beauty you will be the title's editorial lead for beauty across print, digital and social media platforms – as well as managing key commercial relationships.
What you’ll be doing
- Oversee the beauty team to deliver market-leading beauty content across print, digital and social.
- Ensure the beauty department meet targets for traffic, social engagement and affiliate revenue.
- Commission the content of the beauty section in print.
- Work with the creative director, style director and EIC to commission, plan and execute all beauty shoots in print.
- Plan, write, commission and edit print content.
- Manage key commercial clients – attending events, planning editorial and responding to commercial projects in a way that works for the Grazia audience.
- Work with the commercial team to respond to commercial pitches for beauty.
- Generate proactive, innovative ideas that the commercial team can pitch to new clients.
- Work closely with Grazia's SEO and affiliates teams to stay up to speed on latest innovation.
- Manage the Junior Beauty Editor, Beauty Writer and Beauty Assistant.
- Manage the beauty budget across print, digital and social media.
- Continue to build a pool of Grazia beauty voices – writing and commissioning features.
- Use key industry contacts to gain access to new celebrity brand ambassadors and 'faces of' for interviews in print and online, pursuing cover opportunities where appropriate.
- Plan and produce Grazia's industry-renowned beauty awards throughout the year.
- Continue to push the tone and creativity of Grazia beauty content and ideas.
