Are you an experienced construction worker with a HGV Class 2 licence, looking to work locally? Are you NRSWA accredited, like working outdoors, and have some experience in simple groundworks and installation? If you’re someone who can learn on the job and turn your hand to various manual tasks, then this role could be what you are looking for.
Bauer Media Outdoor are a leading Out of Home media owner, operating more than 33,000 advertising sites nationwide. We are a friendly and culture led company who value and support our employees to be the best they can be. We also care about the communities we work with and the environment too!
A few years ago, we brought the construction of our advertising sites in house. Since then, the team have been extremely successful in delivering hundreds of site builds, including our newest digital units, billboards and large Storm installations. We’re excited to be working on some interesting projects next year and now looking for a Construction Operative to join our growing team in Portbury, Bristol.
What will you be doing? You’ll be working as part of a two-person crew, spending most of your day breaking up ground and replacing or installing new digital units for our local communities on the many contracts that we deliver on. This will involve travelling to sites (roadsides and public areas) within the South West area. You’ll have a company vehicle to help you do this, an attractive salary of £37,000 - £40,000, annual bonus, paid annual leave 25 days plus bank holidays, opportunities for training and development and fully expensed tools and PPE. It’s a physically demanding role which requires you to work at height, mainly using a small step ladder, so you’ll need to be a team player and watch/help out your crew partner. Also, you should be able to commute independently to and from your base depot in Bristol.
