You’ll be joining Bauer Academy, part of Bauer Media, where we empower individuals and organisations across the creative industries to thrive. We are a unique, income-generating training provider working across the UK and Europe – not just delivering learning but shaping talent pipelines and industry capability. This role sits within a brand-new, high-profile initiative funded by the Greater London Authority (GLA). You’ll be part of a pioneering team building something from the ground up, working with industry leaders, public sector stakeholders, and creative organisations to shape the future of skills across London.
The Difference You Will Make
This is not a typical marketing role! You will be responsible for bringing a brand-new Sector Hub to life in building its visibility, voice, and presence across the creative industries. From day one, you’ll take ownership of how the Hub is positioned externally, creating compelling campaigns and delivering standout events that engage senior stakeholders and drive widespread awareness. Your work will directly support initiatives that tackle skills gaps, improve access, and create new career opportunities across the creative sector.
Your Role
You’ll lead the end-to-end marketing and events delivery for the Creative Sector Hub ensuring high impact, high quality and measurable results.
- Developing and delivering multi-channel marketing strategies to promote the Sector Hub and its initiatives
- Creating engaging content across platforms, including campaigns, social content, and promotional assets
- Building the Hub’s marketing presence from scratch, shaping its identity, voice and storytelling
- Planning and delivering high-profile events, from industry showcases to stakeholder and policy-focused sessions
- Engaging and managing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including creative industry partners and public sector organisations
- Monitoring performance of campaigns and events, using insight and data to continuously improve
- Managing marketing and events budgets, suppliers and external partners
- Supporting broader Bauer Academy initiatives where needed
The Skills You Will Bring
- Proven experience in marketing and events, ideally in a fast-paced or creative environment
- Strong content creation skills, with the ability to develop compelling, multi-platform campaigns
- Experience delivering high-quality events with strong attention to detail and audience experience
- Ability to work autonomously, taking ownership and driving activity forward
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage senior audiences
- Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Analytical mindset, with experience using data to inform decisions and improve outcomes
- Experience with digital tools such as Canva, WordPress or similar platforms
Working Pattern & Location
This is a full-time role on an initial 18 month contract based in our London office twice a week with the rest homeworking.
