You’ll be joining a high-performing and close-knit content team at the heart of Bauer Media’s Scottish radio network. Working across iconic brands including Clyde 1, Forth 1, Tay FM, Northsound 1 and MFR, this team connects with millions of listeners every week. It’s a collaborative, down-to-earth environment where people genuinely enjoy working together. The Difference you will make

This is a rare opportunity to step into a pivotal leadership role within Scotland’s biggest radio network. You’ll work closely with the Content Director to shape and deliver outstanding content across multiple brands, helping to drive audience growth and keep us ahead in a competitive and fast-evolving media landscape. You’ll lead from the front; developing talent, guiding teams, and bringing clarity and direction to a busy, multi-brand environment. From managing producers to working with a wide pool of freelance presenters, your impact will be felt across the entire network.

Your role

As Deputy Content Director, you’ll support the delivery of content strategy while leading teams and helping to shape the creative output across the network.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Content Director in leading content across multiple brands
  • Managing and developing a team of producers and freelance talent
  • Driving a high-performance culture through coaching and feedback
  • Shaping engaging, audience-focused content across platforms
  • Using audience insight to inform content decisions
  • Collaborating across commercial, marketing and digital teams

The Skills you will bring

  • Experience in radio, audio, or related media
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Understanding of audience engagement and content delivery
  • Awareness of the Scottish media landscape

Nice to Have

  • Experience managing freelance talent pools
  • Multi-platform experience (broadcast, digital, social)

Working Pattern / Location

Hybrid role based in Glasgow, 4-5 days in office, with one of those in Edinburgh.
