Director of Branded Content (Podcasts) – 12 Month FTC

You’ll be joining Bauer Media’s Audio Commercial and Digital Content team, where creativity meets commercial impact. This is a highly collaborative environment, bringing together podcast production, editorial, sales, and marketing teams to create standout audio content and meaningful brand partnerships. Our podcast portfolio is a key growth area for Bauer, and you’ll be working at the centre of it - partnering with talented creators, internal teams, and leading agencies to deliver commercial solutions that resonate with audiences.

The Difference you will make

In this role, you’ll take ownership of the commercial strategy and performance of Bauer’s podcast portfolio, helping to shape how we bring brands and content together. You’ll ensure podcasts are both creatively compelling and commercially successful, driving revenue through partnerships, sponsorships, and branded content opportunities. Acting as the bridge between content, talent, and sales, you’ll influence how we position and grow our podcast offering across the market. This is a highly visible role where your work will directly contribute to the growth of Bauer’s digital audio business.

Your role

  • You will lead the commercial approach for Bauer’s podcast portfolio, ensuring strong alignment between creative output and revenue generation.
  • Defining and delivering the commercial strategy for podcasts, driving revenue across sponsorship and branded content.
  • Supporting sales teams with insight, collateral, and commercial narratives.
  • Leading partnership opportunities from brief through negotiation and execution.
  • Building relationships with talent, hosts, and agents.
  • Overseeing portfolio performance including forecasting and reporting.
  • Collaborating with internal teams for campaign delivery and operational excellence.
  • Working with agencies and clients to increase awareness and conversion.

The Skills you will bring

  • Experience in branded content within a media or digital content environment.
  • Strong commercial mindset with experience driving revenue through partnerships and sponsorship.
  • Experience working with sales teams, agencies, and client relationships.
  • Ability to lead complex commercial deals from concept to delivery.
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience within podcast, audio, or radio environments.
  • Background in video-first or multi-platform media organisations.
  • Experience creating branded content solutions balancing audience and commercial goals.

Working Pattern / Location

London-based with a hybrid working model (2 days in the office). This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with an ASAP start. Location: London, GB, NW1 2PL.
