Bauer Energy is looking for an experienced Site Supervisor / Build Manager to oversee infrastructure works across Plymouth and the wider South West region. This is not a trainee, assistant or general construction supervisor role. We are specifically looking for someone with a strong streetworks, utilities, highways or civil engineering background who understands the practical delivery of excavation, ducting, reinstatement and permit-controlled works. You will act as Bauer Energy's on-site representative, managing subcontractors, monitoring quality, ensuring compliance and providing daily progress updates to the Operations Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise infrastructure projects on live sites
- Monitor excavation, ducting, reinstatement and civils activities
- Ensure compliance with NRSWA, Chapter 8 and permit conditions
- Manage subcontractors and coordinate daily site activities
- Carry out quality inspections and identify defects
- Conduct toolbox talks and promote a positive safety culture
- Monitor progress against programme and escalate issues early
- Maintain site records, photographs and daily reports
- Liaise with local authorities, clients and stakeholders
Essential Requirements
- Valid NRSWA Supervisor Card
- Experience supervising civils, utilities, highways or infrastructure works
- Experience working under streetworks permits
- Knowledge of excavation, ducting and reinstatement activities
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Right to work in the UK
Highly Desirable
- EV Charging Infrastructure Experience
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- First Aid at Work
- Utilities, ICP or DNO project experience
- Traffic Management knowledge
- Experience working within public highway environments
We want someone who is comfortable challenging poor workmanship, managing subcontractors and taking ownership of site delivery. This role would suit an experienced Utilities Site Supervisor, Streetworks Supervisor, Highways Supervisor, Civil Engineering Supervisor, Reinstatement Supervisor or EV Infrastructure Supervisor who is looking for an opportunity with a growing infrastructure business delivering projects across the South West.
CIS and PAYE options are available, with remuneration negotiable depending on experience, qualifications and availability.
