Our subsidiary BAUER Equipment UK represents BAUER Maschinen GmbH in the UK. As the company grows, our team continues to grow along with it. This has presented the opportunity for an additional Workshop-based Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Commissioning, fault finding, repairs, rigging / de-rigging and maintenance of all types of BAUER equipment on site, at customers' premises or at our own workshop facility in Rotherham.
  • Liaising with our customer service staff to rectify faults both on site and over the telephone.
  • Liaising with the BAUER Maschinen After-Sales Team to provide feedback from jobsites and to help rectify faults.
  • Completing inspection, repair and overhaul of heavy gearboxes including the completion of complex reports and supporting documentation.
  • Various other tasks related to repairs, maintenance and spare parts requirements for BAUER equipment.
  • Compliance and execution of BAUER standards in the field of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE).

Your profile:

  • Possess a thorough understanding of modern mobile Hydraulics and Electrics / Electronics.
  • Possess relevant industry qualifications and hold a current CSCS skills card.
  • Have previous experience with overhaul and repair of heavy plant gearboxes/planetary reductions.
  • Have good literacy and IT skills with the ability to read and produce technical documents.
  • Employ good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Have the right to work in the UK and hold a full UK driving license.
  • Have a flexible approach to the working day, a willingness to work out of hours and travel around the UK & Ireland as required.
