We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Product Merchandiser/Forecaster to join our marketing department. Battles is the UK's most established and leading provider of animal health, equestrian, and pet care brands to distributors and retailers nationwide, many available via our next-day delivery service. Founded in 1832 in Lincoln, we have a long-standing history of manufacturing agricultural products and continue to grow as a premier equestrian wholesaler.
The role involves working closely with the Buying Department to plan, select, and promote the right product mix, using data and market trends to forecast demand. You will play a key role in ensuring we offer the right products to the right customers at the right time.
Responsibilities:- Collaborate with buying, design, and marketing teams for product launches and promotions.
- Coordinate with Buyers on core line selection, sales, and stock monitoring to maintain optimal levels.
- Build and maintain supplier relationships, place repeat orders, and adjust stock intake based on projections.
- Analyze product performance to maximize sales and optimize stock levels.
- Manage order placements aligned with core requirements and deadlines.
- Negotiate with suppliers to improve margins and explore alternative sources.
- Generate weekly performance reports with key metrics and action plans.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Web teams to drive product sales.

Working hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am β 5:00 pm. The role is based on-site at our Lincoln office. Salary from Β£25,000 per annum DEO.
