Sales & Service Leader
The Sales & Service Manager is a critical member of the store leadership team responsible for implementing Alo’s business and guest experience strategies. This individual is passionate about achieving business targets, enhancing guest experiences, and developing talent to align with Alo’s values. The primary focus is to ensure an exceptional guest experience in the store.
Role Objectives:
- Investigate and analyze sales opportunities, collaborating with the General Manager to address process or system gaps.
- Oversee the Sales & Service team to deliver an outstanding guest experience through connection and technical product education, providing feedback and coaching to team members.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships daily.
- Ensure effective sales floor coverage by developing workforce solutions and leading selling initiatives.
- Partner with the General Manager to develop and execute the store’s Sales & Service strategy.
Business Leadership:
- Represent the business in meetings and conference calls alongside the General Manager.
- Monitor and manage budgets, reporting, and business metrics such as expenses and sell-thru, informing planning processes.
- Plan future workflows to maintain optimal performance.
People Leadership:
- Ensure the team embodies Alo\’s mission and values, communicating effectively with visitors.
- Lead through accountability, ongoing coaching, talent development, and fostering effective communication.
- Develop internal and external talent pipelines through succession planning and recruitment strategies.
- Create schedules aligning with business priorities in partnership with the General Manager.
Business Partnering:
- Oversee execution of the Alo Sales and Service Model to maintain operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with and implement the vision of the General/Store Manager, working cross-functionally to support organizational goals.
- Navigate the organization balancing business needs and brand culture.
Qualifications:
- Leadership experience in retail or related industries.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Motivated by fast-paced, innovative environments.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and business ownership attitude.
- Strong work ethic, time management, and accountability.
- Alignment with Alo’s values.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Physical ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing, and standing for long periods.
Schedule:
This is a full-time role (40 hours/week, typically 5 days), including shifts that may involve opening, closing, and weekends, especially during the holiday season from Black Friday through early January 2025. All employees must be available during this period.
