The Rehoming & Welfare Co-ordinator (Dog Rehoming) is responsible for providing the highest level of customer service to customers whilst ensuring the best possible outcomes for the dogs in Battersea’s care.

Overall Objectives

  • Deal professionally with customers via all methods of communication.
  • Effectively assess potential rehoming customers’ suitability in rehoming a Battersea dog and match potential owners to the dogs best suited for them, always prioritising the dogs’ best interests.
  • Support the Rehoming & Welfare team in the daily management of the dogs in Battersea’s care.

Working with our rescues is a very rewarding experience. Your work plays a vital role in giving our dogs and cats a chance at finding their forever home. Every day will be different and will come with its own unique challenges. We are looking for people with the resilience and adaptability to handle all aspects of this role. It is important to note that the role does involve a lot of physical tasks which are required to provide the exceptional standards of care to our animals.
