This vacancy is based at our Old Windsor centre and is part time 24 hours per week (every Tue, Wed, Fri).
Role summary
At Battersea, our Dog Operations team is responsible for delivering the highest standards of animal welfare and care for every dog in their journey through Battersea, from intake, to their care and assessments and then to rehoming. We are looking for individuals to lead a care group within the dog assessing & welfare team at our Old Windsor centre, ensuring the best possible outcomes for dogs in Battersea\'s care whilst providing the highest standard of husbandry and hygiene.
Responsibilities
- Lead a care group within the dog assessing & welfare team at the Old Windsor centre, ensuring the best possible outcomes for dogs in Battersea\'s care and providing the highest standard of husbandry and hygiene.
- Support the delivery of behavioural assessment programmes and contribute to recommendations and implementation of behavioural plans.
- Operate with minimal supervision, making decisions related to dogs\\\' behavioural assessments when required.
Qualifications
- Experience working with dogs in a rescue environment.
- Experience recommending and implementing behavioural programmes.
- Experience delivering high quality work with minimal supervision and decision-making regarding dogs\\\' behavioural assessments.
