Based at our Battersea Old Windsor centre, the Senior Theatre Nurse plays a pivotal role in maximising surgical throughput while also achieving high standards of patient safety, clinical excellence, and animal welfare.
Responsibilities
- The role supports the theatre team by overseeing the smooth and efficient running, while maintaining strict infection control and regulatory compliance.
- The Senior Theatre Nurse provides clinical leadership, mentors and develops nursing and VCA colleagues, and promotes best practice throughout the animals' journey.
- By optimising theatre resources, equipment, and workflows, the Senior Theatre Nurse helps maximise the number of animals that can receive timely, high-quality treatment, ensuring charitable resources are used responsibly to achieve the greatest possible impact for animal welfare.
