LAKRIDS BY BÜLOW is the story of passionate craftsmanship in gourmet liquorice. Founded in 2007 by Johan Bülow on the Danish island of Bornholm, we continue our journey of creating surprising combinations and sensory experiences with liquorice at the core. The ambition remains the same: To inspire people around the world and spread the love for this unique Nordic flavour. The UK is our fastest-growing market, with a thriving retail, wholesale and ecommerce business and ambitious expansion plans. We're now opening an exciting new store in Battersea Power Station and are looking for a Shop Manager who can help us on the journey. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a brand-new location in one of London's most vibrant destinations.

As Shop Manager, you will be responsible for building a high-performing team, delivering exceptional customer experience and establishing the store as a destination for liquorice lovers in Battersea Power Station. Battersea Power Station offers a unique customer mix. Alongside weekend shoppers and visitors, you'll have the opportunity to develop relationships with corporate clients and help increase sales opportunities within the area.

Key responsibilities:

  • Creating and managing rotas to ensure strong coverage across weekdays, evenings and weekends
  • Growing our customer community through our Lakrids Lovers loyalty programme
  • Building relationships with local businesses and corporate partners to identify and create corporate sales opportunities
  • Taking ownership of store performance, team engagement and daily operations
  • Delivering exceptional customer experiences through product storytelling, tastings and amazing customer service
  • Working closely with the UK Stores Manager on performance, local initiatives and business development opportunities

Job requirements:

  • Experience managing a retail team, ideally within premium retail
  • Confidence building relationships with customers and corporate partners
  • Real commercial instinct: you notice when sales are slow and you act on it
  • Strong with people. You can lead a small team, maintain high standards, and keep morale up
  • Experience working within a host retail environment or concession is a genuine advantage
  • Organised and adaptable, with the ability to build and manage a rota and stock across shifting needs
  • High personal standards for service, store presentation, how the team performs, and how every customer feels when they leave
  • Flexibility to work across weekdays, evenings and weekends
