The Ramses and the Pharoah’s Gold exhibition tour has come to Neon at Battersea Power Station on its only UK stop on a multi-venue world tour. As a retail associate, you’ll welcome guests with an opportunity to purchase audio guides to assist them around the venue, a photo opportunity, and offer excellent customer service in the retail space, café, and throughout the VR experience.
Ideally, you will have experience in a customer service or visitor-facing role, such as retail, front of house, or museum work. While this is not essential, the key qualities we are looking for include:
- The ability to engage confidently with a wide range of guests in a warm and friendly manner.
- A genuine interest in our products.
- Willingness to learn about our range to speak about it confidently and help increase sales through effective upselling.

Responsibilities
- Sales, Service & Floor Presence: Warmly welcome guests and confidently engage them; use strong product knowledge to deliver excellent service and upsell where appropriate; process card payments accurately and in line with GDPR requirements; maintain high store standards with attention to detail; carry out delegated tasks that support the wide objectives assigned by management.
- Back of House Operations: Maintain an organized stockroom, including pricing, tagging, and inventory management; assist with deliveries, stock counts, and waste disposal as needed.
- VR Experience: Provide clear guidance to ensure guests understand the VR experience and feel safe and comfortable; scan tickets, escort guests to and from the VR area, and oversee safe entry/exit.
- Café Support: Deliver excellent service while adhering to all health and safety standards in the café environment.
Role Requirements
- Flexible Availability: Able to work evenings and weekends.
- POS Experience: Previous experience with POS systems preferred.
- Physical Capability: Comfortable standing for long periods; handling stock; lifting up to 10kg; using a pump truck to move loads over 20kg; unloading shipments.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in a customer-facing, sales-focused environment.
- Communication Skills: Clear, effective communication with guests, colleagues, and management.
- Team Player: Collaborative, supportive, and able to contribute to a positive work environment.
- Results-Driven: Adaptable, motivated, and open to new challenges.
Desired Experience & Skills: Food safety experience/qualifications.
We have both full and part-time contracts available. This role is temporary. The exhibition will run from mid-February 2026 to 3rd January 2027.
