The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 £ per year.

This is a fully office-based, on-site role. Please note this is not a work-from-home position and requires on-site presence across the estate and during event operations. Weekend work will also be required as needed to support event delivery.

The Freelance Events Manager will support the delivery of Battersea Power Station’s annual events and activations programme, helping bring one of London’s most iconic destinations to life through high-quality public events, cultural programming, brand activations and seasonal campaigns.

This is a hands-on role suited to an organised and proactive events professional with strong production, operational and stakeholder management experience. The successful candidate will support the end-to-end planning and delivery of events across the estate, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the planning and delivery of Battersea Power Station owned events, activations and campaigns across the estate.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including production schedules, suppliers, staffing, registrations, deliveries and onsite operations.
  • Liaise with internal departments, including Marketing, PR, Commercialisation, Estate Management, Security and Facilities teams.
  • Manage relationships with external suppliers, agencies, contractors and event partners.
  • Support onsite event delivery, troubleshooting and supplier management during live event days.
  • Assist with event administration, including purchase orders, invoice tracking, budget reconciliation and event documentation.
  • Support event reporting, post-event analysis and KPI tracking, including footfall, dwell time and sales performance.
  • Ensure all events comply with Health & Safety requirements, including RAMS, PLI, PAT testing, Hygiene certifications and licensing obligations.
  • Support the creation and management of operational documents, including Event Management Plans and Licences to Occupy.
  • Assist with event communications, website updates, ticketing platforms and attendee information where required.
  • Coordinate staffing schedules, supplier briefings and operational timelines.
Skills & Experience
  • 3 years proven experience delivering live events, experiential activations or public events.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working in fast-paced operational environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing suppliers, contractors and event logistics.
  • Understanding of event health & safety requirements and operational planning.
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Confident working independently and collaboratively across multiple teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint and ticketing/event platforms.
Essential
  • Experience working within destination marketing, retail, placemaking or public realm events.
  • Experience with ticketed events, cultural programming or seasonal campaigns.
  • Understanding of footfall-driving and consumer-facing event strategies.
  • Must be a registered sole trader or limited company.
