Working hours The contract is 18 hours per week, working Monday to Friday with the earliest start time being 08:00 and the latest finish time being 18:00.

There is the opportunity to work overtime subject to operational demand. (There maybe a need to work start earlier and work later as per operational requirements).

About the destination

50 Electric Boulevard is a new and exciting 200,000 sq. ft office building, designed with smart-tech and sustainability at its heart, providing a flexible way of working to put the spark back into the workplace.

It’s a dynamic part of the re-energised Battersea Power Station, a new 42-acre district created for switched-on business, leisure and living.

Role purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to work as part of the reception and wider 50EB team to deliver an exceptional experience for occupiers and their guests.

By providing a warm welcome, proactive support and consistently high levels of service, the Reception Associate will help create a positive and memorable environment where people genuinely enjoy spending time and want to rave about us.

Key responsibilities

  • Giving occupiers and their guests a warm welcome and farewell, demonstrating our Service Personality so that everyone wants to rave about us!
  • Support occupier engagement activities, helping to create a welcoming and connected building community.
  • Helping to keep the site safe and secure by complying with access control processes, signing in guests, being vigilant to potential threats and working with the site security team.
  • Providing information to occupiers and their guests on topics such amenities, the Power Station, and onward travel.
  • Receiving and responding to inbound telephone calls and emails, always finding a solution and giving a great level of helpful service.
  • Supporting occupiers with their event planning in our event spaces and coordinating event plans with other service partners in line with the standard operating procedure.
  • Completing all reporting requirements with accuracy, including data input, fault reporting, and updating of occupier information records.
  • Use the building app to communicate building news, events and important updates, helping to foster an informed and connected occupier community.
  • Being part of the 50EB response team and providing response during incidents and contingency events, such as fire alarm activations, in line with the standard operating procedures.
  • Carrying out activities to support the delivery of our product, including involvement in projects, completing training and attending meetings.
  • During rostered or overtime shifts, work as part of the Guest Services team within Battersea Power Station, providing information and support to guests during their visit, for example about shops, restaurants and providing directions.
  • Carry out regular building checks to ensure occupier-facing areas are clean, safe, well-presented and operating in line with expected standards, reporting any issues as required.
  • Be an active member of the wider Battersea Power Station team and championing the values of SPIRIT.
  • Required knowledge, skills, experience, and behaviours
  • 1-2 years customer service or hospitality experience (ideally experience in a reception environment).
  • Confidence using IT equipment and systems, for example laptop, tablet, phone, diary, email, access control and fault logging systems and capturing data and reporting*
  • Experience using a Visitor Management System (VMS) to manage guest arrivals, registrations and reporting would be beneficial.
  • Excellent written and spoken English including spelling and grammar with the ability to reply to emails from occupiers, guests and the client
  • Flexibility and a can-do attitude
  • Confidence working alone and prioritising tasks, including during periods of intense workload
  • Confidence giving a warm, friendly and professional service in line with our Service Personality, and communicating effectively with occupiers and their guests in a corporate office environment
  • Being a team player, working effectively together with others across different service partners and with the client directly.
  • Training will be given including for systems, processes and service delivery.
