An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team and play a crucial role in supporting both teachers and our learners. The post holder will be vital in helping learners build independence, stay focused and engaged in tasks and lessons, explain different activities, assist with a wide range of classroom and school-based activities, and help with classroom management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist teachers and learners in building independence and staying focused during lessons.
  • Explain tasks and activities, and help plan and deliver engaging lessons.
  • Work with small groups or individual learners to provide targeted support, and assist with classroom management.
  • Take responsibility for agreed-upon learning activities, including planning, preparing, delivering, monitoring, assessing, recording, and reporting on progress.
  • Lead the classroom in the teacher’s absence, ensuring continuity and consistency in learning.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualized plans for learners with special educational needs.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive, be included, and be accepted.
