We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Office Professional looking to gain experience working in a school environment. This post is initially temporary until 1/12/25, due to the long-term absence. This post could be extended to support the return to work of the post holder in December.

Our office staff are our face to the outside world. We are working hard to meet the needs of our community and our friendly and approachable office team are crucial for us to ensure we meet the needs of our families.

In addition to our customer service functions, including answering telephone enquiries, this post's core duties include:

  • Inputting finance invoices/purchasing
  • Organising parent pay for trips and school meals
  • Organising clubs/trips
  • Updating the school website and assisting with fortnightly newsletters

We are seeking a well organised administrator who can prioritise and organise their own workload. You will be friendly, approachable and committed to providing the best for our families. You will be seeking to secure a role where every day you will see the positive impacts of your work across your range of duties. No two days in school are the same. You will need a good sense of humour and be flexible!

Norton Sub Hamdon Church School works in partnership with another small school, West Chinnock. Our ethos is that we are two schools but one staff. We believe we offer a uniquely caring, close-knit staff team that supports each other all day, every day and this is reflected by how our children interact with each other.

Salary, hours and pay scale: Norton Sub Hamdon Church School 20 hours per week term time (38 weeks) Temporary Contract to commence as soon as possible. (Initially due to end 1/12/25) SCP Grade 15 point 4
