We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team at our depot based in Staple Hill. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for automotive experience and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30AM - 5.30PM. No weekends.
Salary: Dependant on experience. Mechanical experience is required.
Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues using diagnostic tools.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to assemble, disassemble, and repair vehicle parts efficiently.
- Repair or replace faulty components such as belts, hoses, filters, and other mechanical parts.
- Follow maintenance schedules and ensure all work complies with safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Handle heavy lifting safely when moving or installing large parts or equipment.
Experience:
- Proven experience in vehicle repair or maintenance is preferred.
- Knowledge of schematics and ability to interpret technical diagrams is essential.
- Mechanical knowledge.
- Experience with tyre fitting, brake pads and discs, MOT repairs, servicing, etc.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools is highly desirable.
