The Campus Manager role at BSU London, Hackney, provides managerial oversight for operations at our Hackney campus, covering administrative and business support services. The Campus Manager will combine team, operations, and project management to deliver a seamless student experience and site operation.

The role holds management responsibility for the Operations Team, ensuring effective running of the campus with a full range of administrative support activities delivered effectively through efficient resource deployment and rota management. The Campus Manager acts as designated local manager for Health and Safety and Risk Management, ensuring a safe environment for staff and students. The Campus Manager is additionally responsible for setting day‑to‑day operational arrangements across the site through the development and maintenance of a suite of Standard Operating Procedures. The holder of the post will identify innovative solutions to resolve problems and establish new and exciting ways of working across the site, including managing and delivering large scale projects including events, maintenance and capital works. This key management position will require daily on‑site presence, including weekly Saturday and evening (Tuesday or Thursday) presence in line with the campus operating windows.

About You

  • Experience managing shift‑based rotas.
  • Experience managing operational teams to deliver high quality and efficient service.
  • Experienced managing core building operations including estates and safety compliance.
  • Project management experience, particularly the delivery of events, maintenance works, or capital projects.
  • Experience of operations or administration within the Higher Education sector.
  • Experience of business proposal development, including staffing or other resource growth and expansion.

Additional Information

Salary Grade 6 - Starting from £33,951 rising to £37,694 per annum + 5K MPS. The salary range shows the potential maximum pay progression in addition to any annual inflationary increase to your pay. Please note that our default position is to appoint into the lower end of the range, unless there are exceptional circumstances. This key management position will require daily on‑site presence, including weekly Saturday and evening (Tuesday or Thursday) presence in line with the campus operating windows.
