Bath Spa University is seeking an accomplished and motivated senior leader to join us as Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor (Educational Partnerships). This is a key strategic role supporting the delivery of the University’s Educational Partnerships Strategy and strengthening Bath Spa’s position as a trusted, values-led partner in the UK and internationally.
The Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor (Educational Partnerships) plays a key role in shaping, delivering and growing the University’s educational partnerships in the UK and internationally. Working within the Centre for Educational Partnerships, you will support the implementation of the Educational Partnerships Strategy, helping to develop new partnerships— including transnational education and overseas branch campuses—while strengthening and sustaining existing relationships. You will work closely with academic Schools and Professional Services to ensure partnership activity is well governed, high quality and aligned with the University’s strategic priorities.
As a senior representative of the University, you will build trusted relationships with partners, regulators and government stakeholders, represent Bath Spa at key meetings and events, and contribute to institutional committees and decision-making. Where required, you will deputise for the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Partnership Strategy) and take on senior responsibility for the oversight of overseas campuses and new delivery models. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the University’s global engagement, reputation and future growth.
You will be an experienced higher-education leader with a strong track record in partnership working and a deep understanding of the regulatory and operational landscape of the sector. You will be confident operating at senior level, working collaboratively across academic and professional services, and building productive relationships with external partners.
You will bring sound judgement, strategic thinking and the ability to manage complexity, risk and change. An excellent communicator, you will be comfortable influencing, advising and representing the University in a wide range of settings, including national and international contexts.
You will have strong academic credibility, underpinned by a postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline (with a PhD desirable), and a genuine interest in partnership-led education. Collegiate, resilient and adaptable, you will thrive in a role that requires both strategic oversight and hands-on engagement.
