The University is seeking two experienced lawyers to join our in-house Legal team: one Senior University Lawyer with a focus on the provision of regulatory legal advice across a diverse remit; and one Senior University Lawyer with a focus on drafting, advising on and negotiating complex and high value contracts.
About the Role
Provision of flexible, commercially astute and high quality contract review and drafting to support delivery of the University’s objectives in a complex regulatory environment. The postholder will supervise and develop other staff in Legal Services and have the experience and skills to develop the provision of Legal Services to ensure it supports the University’s strategic plans.
About You
- Fully qualified solicitor or barrister qualified to practise in England
- Sufficient post‑qualification experience to supervise others in the provision of legal services and evidence of continuing professional development
- Significant knowledge and experience of drafting, advising on and negotiating complex contracts
- Proven ability to draft and amend high quality contracts and associated legal and policy documents
