Description
As an Associate Lecturer in Musical Theatre, you will be responsible for teaching, assessing, and managing a range of Musical Theatre work. You will also be responsible for project supervision and offering one-to-one tutorials.
About The Role
As an Associate Lecturer in Drama, you will deliver practical sessions, and lead seminars, discussion groups, and tutorials. You will support undergraduate students individually and in groups. Your responsibilities will include marking assessments and attending required assessment and examination meetings.
You will conduct administrative tasks such as monitoring student attendance, providing written feedback on coursework, and maintaining marking lists. Additionally, you will contribute to syllabus planning for relevant modules. Ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols in the workplace is essential. You will also participate in staff meetings and access staff training opportunities provided by the University. Finally, you will perform any other duties as determined by the University.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Musical Theatre, Drama, Music or a complementary subject and significant professional experience as a Musical Theatre tutor, practitioner and/or performer. Recent successful experience of university level teaching in Musical Theatre or equivalent is also desirable
