Description
We are seeking dynamic and experienced Associate Lecturers with professional experience in Fashion Design to join our Fashion team at Bath Spa University on a part time temporary basis.
The course offers a comprehensive and forward-thinking design education, nurturing ambitious and dedicated students as they prepare for careers in the fashion industry.
You must have knowledge of at least one of the following:
- Research and development of design
- 3D pattern
- Textiles for fashion
About The Role
- To undertake teaching (lectures, practicals, seminars, discussion groups and tutorials as appropriate)
- Supporting undergraduate students in groups, individually and in online environments
- Mark assessments associated with teaching and attend required assessment and examination meetings as required
- Administration in accordance with university practice (e.g. Monitoring student attendance, written feedback on coursework, maintaining marking lists)
- Contribute to syllabus planning in relevant modules
- To undertake professional updating in the relevant subject area
- Have due regard for health and safety in the workplace
- Any other responsibilities determined by the University as deemed appropriate to the post.
About You
- Knowledge and demonstrable skills in either research and design development or 3D product development for Fashion Design
- Excellent communication skills appropriate for teaching undergraduates with a wide variety of backgrounds
- Ability to work successfully as part of a small team.
- Ability to manage own time with limited supervision.
- Excellent organisational/administrative and IT skills

Grade Ac2 β Β£19.83 per hour (a multiplier of 2.5 may be applied depending on the work offered)
