Bath Spa Students’ Union is seeking a proactive and driven Governance & Strategic Projects Manager to play a pivotal role in delivering our strategic priorities and strengthening our organisational effectiveness. This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of the Students’ Union, supporting the Chief Executive, Senior Management Team, and Board of Trustees. You’ll act as Clerk to the Board, ensuring high standards of governance, compliance, and decision‑making, while also leading key cross‑organisational projects from concept through to delivery.

We’re seeking a hands‑on, solutions‑focused professional who can combine strategic oversight with practical delivery. You’ll thrive in a fast‑paced environment, confidently managing multiple priorities, building strong relationships, and ensuring work across teams is aligned and impactful.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading and enhancing governance processes and trustee engagement
  • Managing Board and committee operations, ensuring compliance and best practice
  • Delivering high‑impact strategic projects across the organisation
  • Supporting and enabling the Senior Management Team to operate effectively
  • Driving organisational improvements and cross‑campus collaboration

We're looking for an organised and confident leader with strong project management and governance experience, a collaborative approach, and a genuine commitment to continuous improvement. You’ll bring energy, accountability, and a “can‑do” mindset to everything you do. Some evening and weekend work will be required to support key SU activities and events across our campuses.
