Bath Rugby is seeking an energetic and motivated Social Media Content Creator to deliver high-quality, engaging content across rugby, commercial and club activity, supporting Bath Rugby’s fan growth, brand and revenue objectives.
In this role, you will be a key part of the content/creative team, supporting filming and editing workloads, with a focus on the consistent delivery of social-first video content—capturing, editing and publishing output that brings the club to life across digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Create high-quality Bath Rugby video content to support wider marketing and commercial objectives, with a primary focus on capturing content from the academy, pathways and NextGen programmes, ensuring consistent visibility of emerging talent and club development stories.
- Generate ideas, plan, produce and edit social-first video content, with a strong emphasis on Instagram and TikTok.
- Remain up to date with social trends to deliver reactive short-form content.
- Support filming across senior matchdays, player content features and commercial activations.
- Support delivery of content plans.
- Work closely with the Content/Creative team and key stakeholders to support planned content capture.
- Support the Social Media Manager in the publishing and scheduling of content across all platforms.
- Write clear, engaging and on-brand captions tailored to each platform (particularly Instagram and TikTok).
- Assist in the day-to-day management of social channels, ensuring timely and accurate posting.
- Support live matchday coverage, including same-day content capture, editing and publishing.
- The role requires working at approximately 50% of Bath Rugby matches (home and away), including evenings and weekends, delivering live content capture and publishing.
- Time off in lieu (TOIL) is provided for time worked outside of standard hours.
- Strong understanding of social media trends, content formats and what performs across platforms (particularly Instagram and TikTok).
- Strong video shooting and editing capability.
- Strong level of knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud platforms, specifically Premiere Pro and Photoshop (desirable).
- Experience working in sport or live content environments (experience within a team/club preferred).
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work within structured content workflows.
- Confident in capturing content independently across matchdays and club events.
- Strong organisational and administrative discipline, with clear process-driven thinking and attention to detail.
- You have a love for sport (doesn’t have to be rugby!).

A typical candidate will have experience in content production within a sports environment (essential), along with a solid understanding of social media platforms and their audiences. Experience within a professional team or club is preferred but not essential. While this is often reflected by 2+ years’ experience, we are open to candidates who can demonstrate equivalent capability through a strong and relevant portfolio of work.

Location:Based at Bath Rugby HQ, Farleigh House and The Rec in Bath City Centre. Travel to academy, pathways and grassroots fixtures and events is a core part of the role. Due to the rural locations and limited public transport, applicants must live within commuting distance and have access to their own transport.
