About Bath Rugby Foundation
At Bath Rugby Foundation, we use the power of sport to empower children and young people facing barriers to education, wellbeing, and opportunity. Across Bath and North East Somerset and the wider region, we work to build confidence, develop life skills, and create pathways to independence.
We’re looking for a freelance graphic designer who doesn’t just want to “complete jobs”, but who wants to become a trusted creative partner and an extension of our team. Someone who understands the importance of storytelling, community impact, and brand identity - and who can help bring our work to life visually in a way that connects with supporters, partners, schools, young people, and the wider community.
The role
You’ll work closely with our Communications Manager and wider Foundation team to create engaging, high-quality, and recognisable visual content across both print and digital platforms. One week you may be creating graphics for a fundraising campaign or matchday initiative, and the next you could be designing programme materials, impact reports, social content, or promotional assets for community projects.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys collaboration, brings fresh creative thinking, and feels comfortable contributing ideas as well as responding to briefs. We want someone who genuinely cares about the work we do and can help visually communicate the stories, impact, and personality behind the Foundation.
What you’ll be doing
- Designing creative and engaging assets for:
- Fundraising campaigns and events
- Social media content
- Programme and educational materials
- Impact reports, presentations, and brochures
- Digital and print advertising
- Matchday and community initiatives
- Helping maintain and strengthen the visual identity of Bath Rugby Foundation across all communications.
- Working collaboratively on campaign ideas and creative concepts, bringing fresh thinking and new approaches where appropriate.
- Adapting designs for different platforms and audiences while ensuring consistency in tone, typography, colour, and style.
- Managing your own workflow and deadlines, while communicating openly around timelines and project progress.
- Being responsive, approachable, and open to feedback, with a shared focus on producing the best possible outcome.
- Supporting the ongoing evolution of the Foundation’s brand and helping us continue to improve the quality and impact of our communications.
About you
We’re looking for someone who is creative, collaborative, and genuinely enjoys building working relationships. You’ll likely thrive in this role if you:
- Enjoy becoming part of a team and understanding the purpose behind the work.
- Have a strong portfolio that demonstrates creativity, versatility, visual storytelling, and brand-led design.
- Can work independently while also staying connected and collaborative.
- Have a strong eye for detail, consistency, and accessibility in design.
- Feel comfortable interpreting briefs while also contributing your own creative ideas.
- Are organised, proactive, and reliable with deadlines and communication.
- Have experience creating content for charities, sport, education, youth-focused organisations, or community projects.
- Understand how to design for both digital and print formats.
- Ideally have experience with simple motion graphics or short-form video editing.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who cares about creating meaningful work and wants to help us tell the stories of the young people and communities we support.
