About the Role
Are you a proficient and competent project manager who can manage resources and project outcomes to successful completion? If so, we are looking for you to lead the X‑CITED Programme – a £2 M, 44‑month project funded by EPSRC to develop Research Technical Professionals across the GW4 alliance (Universities of Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter). The programme focuses on industry collaboration, bespoke training events, and testing a model for a cohort of trainee RTPs.
Responsibilities
Co‑ordinate and manage the programme of works, working with over ten industry partners, national research alliances, funders, and roughly 200 regional RTPs. Maintain robust record‑keeping, project administration, and enable outcomes for the team. Engage multiple stakeholders, formulate plans from diverse requirements, and drive success across a dynamic, regional initiative.
Qualifications
- Degree or postgraduate qualification (or equivalent experience) demonstrating the ability to work in an intellectually intensive, people‑orientated transdisciplinary environment.
- Experience of budget management and event management with various stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, strategic thinking, problem‑solving, time‑management and organisational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to network, manage partnerships, and negotiate with stakeholders.
Employment Details
Full‑time (36.5 hrs per week), fixed‑term role of approximately 15 months starting August 2026.
