The University of Bath is seeking an experienced and motivated professional to lead the delivery of student data reporting for funding and statutory purposes. We require hands-on experience of Student Loans Company (SLC) reporting. The role will manage existing SLC reporting and play a central part in delivering the Lifelong Learning Entitlement (LLE). The successful candidate will also work flexibly as part of a specialist team responsible for statutory student data returns, including the HESA Student return.

About the Role

Working within Academic Registry, you will act as the University’s operational lead for SLC reporting, ensuring that student and course data is accurate, timely and compliant with externally defined requirements. You will take ownership of SLC activity across the student lifecycle and work closely with colleagues in Academic Registry and Student Finance to resolve issues and maintain confidence in institutional data. A major focus will be supporting the implementation of the LLE, translating policy, guidance and technical specifications into effective operational practice. This will involve co-creating processes, advising colleagues, and supporting institutional readiness amid a changing funding environment. While SLC and LLE are the primary areas of focus, you will also contribute to the delivery and quality assurance of wider statutory student data returns, adapting to shifting priorities and regulatory change, and supporting colleagues with data interpretation and assurance work.

About You

We are looking for someone who brings practical experience and specialist knowledge, and who is confident working in a regulated, deadline-driven environment. Experience supporting regulatory change, contributing to HESA or other statutory returns, or working with emerging funding models would be advantageous. A willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
