Overview

Three Ways School is a Good (Ofsted 2022) Academy, operating as a generic Special School in Bath. The school provides for children with a wide range of Special Educational Needs. It is divided into Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form departments to enable curriculum delivery and age-appropriate expectations. The school is a Specialist School for Physical and Sensory and is a School of Creativity. It offers the full National Curriculum as a basis for curriculum development and additional activities for personal and social growth. We are looking to appoint an outstanding teacher to teach in either the Primary, Secondary or Sixth Form departments (negotiable depending on applicant skill set) to support pupils with a range of complex SEN.

We welcome applications from teachers who have experience or a passion for SEN, or from teachers in mainstream schools who have the capacity to develop their skills.

Responsibilities

  • Be experienced in SEN practices and provision with extensive knowledge of how to meet the needs of pupils with SEN.
  • Motivate and inspire all pupils to learn and maintain excellent communication with pupils and colleagues.
  • Teach when required across a range of subjects and contribute to curriculum development.
  • Support a flexible approach to teaching across Primary, Secondary or Sixth Form as appropriate to the candidate’s skills.

Qualifications

  • Experience or a passion for SEN; or teachers from mainstream schools with capacity to develop SEN skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Interest in teaching a range of subjects.
