Role Overview

Bath & North East Somerset Council’s Capital Programme and Project Delivery Team is looking for experienced Project Managers to manage construction design, planning and technical project delivery across a diverse portfolio of projects including highways, corporate and commercial estates, housing, compliance maintenance and new build initiatives. This role will contribute to the sustainability and net‑zero ambitions of the council.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver construction, design and planning projects across the council’s portfolio, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Engage stakeholders, including local residents, heritage bodies, and council departments.
  • Work within the Sustainable Communities team to support planning, heritage services, housing, transport strategy, public realm and corporate estate initiatives.
  • Apply best practice in construction project management and technical delivery across combined project values in excess of £200m.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience and track record as a Project Manager in construction design, planning and technical project delivery.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working with diverse portfolios and large project values.
