At Bath & North East Somerset Council we have one overriding purpose - to improve people's lives. We are seeking a motivated Project Co-ordinator to join the Capital Programme and Project Delivery Service within the Sustainable Communities Directorate. Our service is responsible for delivering a wide variety of ambitious and exciting programmes, encompassing projects to promote active travel, improve our parks and green infrastructure and develop our own corporate and commercial estate and progress decarbonisation.

You will have the chance to work across different programmes, providing a great opportunity to broaden your experience and learning. This role represents a fantastic opportunity to be an integral part of the transformation within a UNESCO World Heritage Site and UNESCO World Heritage Spa, around Britain's only thermal springs, within an area of outstanding natural beauty.

You'll be joining at a time when Bath and North East Somerset Council (B&NES) is undertaking a period of significant capital investment, across a range of challenging projects, throughout our unique and diverse capital portfolio. The Capital Programme is shaping the long-term sustainability of transport, highways, housing, public spaces, social, historic, environmental and economic landscape of the area, as well as facilitating income generating initiatives.

We are seeking an experienced Project Co-ordinator with a proven track record in project administration, co-ordination and analysis to support project management delivery by joining our award-winning team.

About the Team: You will be joining a friendly, experienced, and supportive P3M Controls Team who collectively supports and advises on a diverse portfolio of projects and programmes from Active Travel and Parks to Highways, Corporate and Commercial Estates and Housing with a combined project value of £500m. This includes many of the Council's high-profile programmes and projects to achieve net-zero by 2030.

Working as part of the wider Sustainable Communities team, which also has responsibility for Planning, Heritage Services, Housing, Transport Strategy, Public Realm, and Corporate Estate, you will need to be a team player with excellent stakeholder and communication skills together with a good grounding in Project Management Office (PMO), project management skills together with strong analytical ability.

We offer hybrid and flexible working arrangements, which IT equipment will be provided. Office locations can be split across our office sites in the Guildhall in Bath, Keynsham Civic Centre and the Hollies in Midsomer Norton.
