About The Role

Bath and North East Somerset Council is seeking to appoint a Monitoring and Evaluation Lead Officer. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced researcher with a passion for transport, data and evaluation to join the Transport Strategy team and play a pivotal role in the Place Shaping Service, delivering robust and meaningful evaluation across a range of transport projects including the multi-million-pound City Region Sustainable Transport Settlement (CRSTS) funding to transform our transport networks.

Your key responsibilities in this role would be to ensure a focus on delivering the priorities of the Council by:

  • Bringing expertise in data collection, analysis and evaluation to strengthen our practices across the design and delivery of our strategic transport projects;
  • Developing excellent stakeholder relationships to enable a joined-up, consistent approach to evaluation of transport infrastructure projects and initiatives;
  • Ensuring the organisation continually learns from evaluation;
  • Communicating evaluation insights to a diverse range of audiences.

We offer flexible working arrangements, so you can work from home as well as at our offices in Keynsham, Bath and Midsomer Norton. Travel to sites across Bath & North East Somerset will be required, so a full, valid UK driving licence will be required to drive vehicles within the Council’s fleet.
